2. Information We Collect
We collect information about you when you use our Sites. We may also obtain information about you from our business partners, other third parties and publicly available information
2.1 Information You Provide to Simply Hired
– From Your Account
We collect data from you when you create a Simply Hired account, request information, subscribe for a service, participate in a survey, post a resume, upload content or otherwise actively send us data on our Site. This may include your user name, password, first and last name, email address, telephone number (including mobile phone number), street address, occupation, interests, and any other data included in a submitted profile or resume, including but not limited to application materials.
– Through Your Activity on Simply Hired
In addition, as part of the standard operation of the Site, Simply Hired may collect and analyze information from your computer or mobile device and actions taken on the Site, including, but not limited to, your resume, your searches on Simply Hired, the titles of jobs you search, click on or apply to, where those jobs are located, salary interest or experience, the general salary range or experience level of the jobs you view (where indicated), your activity time on the Site and each page, page views, clicks, taps, session activity, browser type, operating system, type of device, MAC address, IP address and the domain name from which you accessed the Site.
The Site may also track the total number of visitors to our Site, the number of visitors to each page of our Site, IP addresses, external web sites linked to, search terms and the domain names of our users' Internet Service Providers, operating system and browser type, and we may analyze these data for trends and statistics in the aggregate, but such information will be maintained, used and disclosed in aggregate form only and it will not contain personally identifiable information. We also may collect aggregate demographic information. Such aggregate information may be collected from data that you have provided to us via usage of the Sites and/or public records, and is not unique to you nor is it linked to any Personal Data that can identify any individual person. We may use such aggregate information to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track users' movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We may share this aggregate information with third parties, including our affiliated and parent companies, for various reasons related to our business to assist them in targeting advertisements to appropriate audiences.
– When You Log In or Use Simply Hired from Some Third-Party Sites
You may also create an account or log in to your Simply Hired account using third-party websites including, but not limited to, Facebook or Google. If you do not already have a Simply Hired account but log in to Simply Hired using your Facebook or Google account, this creates an Simply Hired account using the same email address used in your Facebook or Google account. If you agree to provide this information to Simply Hired, Facebook or Google will authenticate you and redirect you to Simply Hired’s Site. Please note, when you log in to Simply Hired using your Facebook or Google account, Facebook or Google will cookie you in order to authenticate you as a Facebook or Google user.
By accessing Simply Hired through your Facebook or Google account, you understand that Facebook or Google will share certain data detailed above in this paragraph for the purposes of authentication to permit you to access our Site in a secure manner. You may stop this at any point from your Facebook or Google account. This information will be considered Simply Hired account information for purposes of your use of the Site.
You have the ability to disable the connection between your Facebook or Google account and your Simply Hired account at any time by accessing your privacy settings on your Facebook or Google account or from your Simply Hired account. Facebook may also ask for your permission to share certain other details with Simply Hired, including but not limited to your name, profile picture, public profile information, and email address.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FACEBOOK OR GOOGLE OR ANY OTHER THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE IS GOVERNED SOLELY BY YOUR AGREEMENT WITH SUCH THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE.
We may collect information stored in your social media profile that you authorize us to access when you use your social media profile to invoke features on the Sites. Simply Hired provides software applications ("Apps") available to the public. If you decide to download one of our Apps, we may collect your profile information, which will be limited to your social network site user ID, email address, name, and picture.
2.2 Any Other Personal Data Simply Hired May Receive from Third Parties

Simply Hired will indicate to you at the point of provision as to whether or not particular Personal Data provided by you is required in order to provide particular Simply Hired services or features to you. Where Personal Data that is required is not provided by you then the particular feature or service may not be available to you.
2.5 The Basis on Which Simply Hired Collects Your Personal Data
Simply Hired collects and processes your Personal Data on the basis of different legal grounds, depending on the nature of the Personal Data being provided and the type of processing involved. More information is provided on this here.
- Performance of a Contract
Most of the Personal Data processed by Simply Hired is performed on the basis that it is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, or in order to take steps at the request of the user prior to entering such an agreement.
- Legitimate Interest
A second ground relied upon by Simply Hired for other types of processing of your Personal Data is that it is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by Simply Hired. Such legitimate interests will include where we believe you have a reasonable expectation that we will perform a particular type of processing on your behalf, or where such processing is strictly necessary for fraud detection and prevention.
- Compliance with a Legal Obligation
A third ground relied upon for certain types of processing is that it is necessary in order to allow Simply Hired comply with a legal obligation.
Finally, in certain limited situations, Simply Hired relies on your consent in order to process your Personal Data. Where Simply Hired requires your consent in order to collect and process certain Personal Data, we seek your consent at the time of provision, and such processing will only be performed where consent is secured.
3. Limitation of Use or Disclosure of Personal Data
3.1 Where You Want to Close Your Account
When you close your account, you will no longer have access to any of the data we make available under that account name. If you use the same email address to set up a new account, this data from a previous account will not become available to you again. Please also note that closing your account may result in you losing access to all Simply Hired products.
Simply Hired reserves the right to keep any materials in a closed account as necessary to preserve and protect its rights to the extent permitted by law (for example, to preserve records of a dispute) or to comply with its obligations under local law (for example, if requested to retain by law enforcement). A closed account does not mean that all of the data is expunged from the Simply Hired systems, although it will not be readily available under your original account name.
3.2 Where You Want to Delete a Job Application
If you want to delete a job application performed from Simply Hired’s Site, you are advised to contact the prospective Employer directly to request deletion of the application.
3.3 Where the Employer Contact Details Provided to Simply Hired Are Incorrect
In the event that the electronic destination provided to Simply Hired by an Employer is incorrect, your application materials will not be sent to the intended recipient of the application. Simply Hired has no liability for such applications. If you do not wish to send your application materials in this manner, you should send them directly to the Employer.
3.4 Children's Privacy
The Site is not for use by anyone under the age of 16. However if local laws require that you must be older in order for Simply Hired to lawfully provide the services in the Site to you then that older age shall apply as the applicable minimum age. In all jurisdictions outside the European Union, if you are under the age of 18 or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must use Simply Hired under the supervision of your parent, legal guardian or responsible adult. Simply Hired adopts a range of measures to try to ensure that we do not accept individuals who do not meet the minimum age and any other applicable age requirements. 4. Purposes and Uses of Information
We may use the information we obtain about you to: Provide the products or services you request; Maintain a record of the jobs you view or apply to on our Sites or those of our affiliated and parent companies; Inform you of relevant job postings and send you other similar types of marketing communications that may be of interest to you through Simply Hired or affiliated Sites; Provide administrative notices or communications applicable to your use of the Sites; Respond to your questions and comments and provide customer support; Contact you and deliver information to you that we believe is targeted to your interests (such as relevant services, educational or other career development opportunities); enable you to communicate with us through our blogs, social networks and other interactive media; and solicit your feedback and input; Operate, evaluate and improve our business and the products and services we offer;
We also use non-personally identifiable information and certain technical information about your computer and your access of the Sites in order to operate, maintain and manage the Sites. We collect this information by automated means, such as cookies and web beacons, as described in more detail below.
5. Information We Share
Where you use a third party integration to apply to a job from Simply Hired, your application will be processed in accordance with that third party’s terms.
Simply Hired also may disclose specific user information when we determine, in good faith, that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement, to prevent a crime or protect national security, or to protect the interests or safety of Simply Hired or other users of the Sites. This means, for example, that Simply Hired may honor subpoenas, search warrants, law enforcement or court-mandated requests to reveal a user’s electronic address and identity, or other properly requested information.
6. Exercising Rights With Respect to Personal Data
Simply Hired users that provide their Personal Data in the EU, and those that provide their Personal Data in any other jurisdictions that adopt laws affording equivalent protections to those in the EU, may avail of the rights detailed below.
6.1 The Right to Rectify Your Personal Data, or Restrict or Object to the Processing of Your Personal Data
You may make a formal request to have Simple Hired rectify, restrict or object to the processing of your Personal Data by sending an email to privacyoffice @ simplyhired.com (please remove spaces when sending email) from the email address associated with your account.
6.2 The Rights of Access to and Portability of Your Personal Data
You can access most of your data through the site. However, you may make a formal request to access your Personal Data held by Simply Hired. In order to do so, please send an email to privacyoffice @ simplyhired.com (please remove spaces when sending email) from the email address associated with your account, and paste the following sentence in your email: “I am requesting to access my personal data.” Simply Hired will provide your Personal Data to you in a portable format to allow it to be transmitted to third parties.
6.3 The Right to Delete Your Personal Data
You can delete your data through the site, otherwise a formal request can be made. A formal request can be made by writing to: privacyoffice @ simplyhired.com (please remove spaces when sending email). This email should come from the email address associated with your account. Please include your name and email address in email requests.
7. International Data Transfers
When we obtain Personal Data about you, we will process and store the information outside of the country in which you are located, including in the United States. Such transfers are performed in full compliance with applicable data protection rules and subject to appropriate safeguards, primarily through the use of extensive data protection agreements, in order to ensure adequate protection of users’ Personal Data. The services provided to you and the functionality of the Site could not be provided without such a transfer. If you do not wish your information to be transferred in this way you should not use this Site.
8. Privacy Shield Frameworks
With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Simply Hired is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, EU and Swiss individuals have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to you in the United States. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. You may also may correct, amend, or delete the personal information we hold about you. In order to exercise these rights, please follow the steps outlined in Section 6 of this policy. If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
As noted in Section 5 of this policy, Simply Hired may share your data with third parties. If you do not wish for your data to be shared with third parties, please follow the steps outlined in Section 6.3 of this policy and we will delete your personal data and cease the processing of said data.
Simply Hired’s accountability for personal data that it receives in the United States under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, Simply Hired remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Simply Hired proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage. In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Simply Hired commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield. European Union and Swiss individuals with Privacy Shield inquiries or complaints should first contact Simply Hired at privacyoffice @ simplyhired.com (please remove spaces when sending email), or by mail to Simply Hired Privacy Department, 6433 Champion Grandview Way, Austin, Texas, 78750.
Simply Hired has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD, operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit www.bbb.org/EU-privacy-shield/for-eu-consumers for more information and to file a complaint. This service is provided free of charge to you.

Our Sites may also link to co-branded websites that are maintained by Simply Hired and one or more of our business partners or third party affiliates who are collecting your Personal Data pursuant to their own privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on any co-branded site to which you link for information on the privacy practices of that site.
Please note that no electronic transmission of information can be entirely secure. We cannot guarantee that the security measures we have in place to safeguard Personal Data will never be defeated or fail, or that those measures will always be sufficient or effective. Simply Hired seeks to use reasonable security measures to help protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the Personal Data under Simply Hired’s control. As a user of the Sites, you understand and agree that you assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the Sites and the internet generally, the documents you post or access and for your conduct on and off the Sites.
California, USA Residents
California law permits its residents to, once per calendar year, request and receive information about a business' disclosure of certain categories of Personal Data to other companies for direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident and a user of any of the Sites, you can request a copy of this information from Simply Hired by sending an email to privacyoffice @ simplyhired.com (eliminate spaces when sending email). Please include your name and email address in email requests.

Session Cookies are temporary cookies that remain in the cookie file of your browser until you leave the Site.
