We are supporting a fast-growing Swiss aerospace company in the recruitment of an Integration & Test Expert to lead Assembly, Integration and Test activities for advanced satellite systems and subsystems.
The role is based in the canton of Vaud and requires a strong on-site presence.
Role
The Integration & Test Lead will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing integration and test activities from design maturity through final validation and delivery readiness.
Working closely with engineering, operations, quality, procurement, GSE teams and external partners, the person will ensure that AIT activities are properly sequenced, resourced, documented and executed in line with demanding technical, quality and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AIT planning and execution for satellite or subsystem programmes.
- Translate system requirements into detailed AIT flows, sequences and test logic.
- Coordinate readiness of procedures, materials, documentation, EGSE/MGSE and test resources.
- Oversee integration and test execution, including progress tracking, deviations and non-conformances.
- Act as a key interface between engineering, QA, procurement, operations and external partners.
- Support technical reviews such as IRR, TRR, QR, PDR, CDR and FRR.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards such as ECSS, MIL or equivalent frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement of integration processes, documentation quality and execution discipline.
- Coordinate and support AIT engineers, operators, GSE stakeholders and quality teams.
Required Profile
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft, satellite or complex aerospace AIT environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom protocols, flight hardware handling, qualification and acceptance testing.
- Experience with spacecraft subsystems, integration workflows and test campaigns.
- Good understanding of ECSS, MIL or comparable aerospace standards.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure technical environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent English required; French is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Vaud and travel when required.
