As our Data Platform Engineer - Full Stack (permanent role/ Full-time/ on-site) , you will play a key role in transforming data into life-changing medical solutions. Your mission is to design, build, automate, and maintain Debiopharm’s core data platforms, enabling seamless data management, analytics, and statistical computing company-wide.
In this high-impact role, you will own global platforms end-to-end within a GxP environment, engineering secure, cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS. Fully accountable for platform security, reliability, and automation, you will progressively step into System Owner responsibilities. You will also stay close to the business by acting as the trusted first line of support for daily user needs and L2 troubleshooting.
Your Key Responsibilities
Software & Platform Engineering
-
Design, write and ship production-grade frontend & backend code for automation, integrations and internal tooling (JavaScript/Typescript/Svelte, C#, Python, Go, PowerShell, REST APIs).
-
CI/CD on Azure DevOps: deployment pipelines, version control, testing, review, deployment, documentation.
-
Maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep) as the single source of truth for all our environments.
-
Design and implement the platforms with strong software engineering fundamentals (following standard patterns, security and clean - maintainable code), to improve operational efficiency and developer productivity (use of AI assistance coding is encouraged but always with manual review and human in the loop).
Clinical Data & Analytics
-
Maintain & support new releases for our central data repository, and the data pipelines feeding the analytical solutions from Medidata and other clinical sources.
-
Collaborate with Data Management, Biostatistics and Data Science teams to optimize data architecture, data quality and analytics platform capabilities.
SAS Viya & Medidata Platforms
-
Own SAS Viya 4 on Kubernetes (AKS): automate deployment, upgrades and provisioning, and become the technical reference.
-
Act as system owner and administrator for Medidata: user access, configuration, releases and vendor coordination.
-
Keep both platforms available, performant and qualified, under GxP change control.
Cloud, Security & Compliance
-
Implement platform observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management.
-
Run cloud workloads secure by default and cost-aware, strengthening security posture (Defender for Cloud / CNAPP) and FinOps discipline.
-
Follow the applicable SOPs and provide CSV documentation (IQ, OQ, etc.) for the platforms you own, with the CSV / GxP function.
