TRM International is excited to be hiring for a Data Engineer for a leading and international institutional brokerage group with a 65‐year track record of trust, innovation and expertise.
The Data Engineering team is responsible for delivering the data foundations that power analytics, reporting, and decision-making across the Group.
They own the full lifecycle of their data products—from ingestion and transformation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Operating as a lean and highly collaborative team, they embrace DevOps principles and take end-to-end ownership of what they build.

Your mission:
As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to the reliability and business value of their Data Platform.
This role combines production support, platform monitoring, and data modelling. Beyond technical
implementation, they are looking for someone who can engage with business stakeholders, understand
complex business processes, and translate business concepts into robust, maintainable, and
analytically meaningful data models.
Success in this role requires curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to bridge the gap between
business requirements and technical solutions.
Your role:
Data Modelling & Business Analysis
- Translate business concepts into scalable, well-structured transformation pipelines and
analytical models.
- Design and build trusted, reusable, and well-documented data products that are
discoverable, reliable, and support multiple use cases.
- Data product mindset: ability to think in terms of reusable, well-defined, consumer-focused
datasets.
- Drive data quality, consistency, and modelling best practices.
Monitoring & Platform Reliability
- Own and continuously improve the monitoring and observability ecosystem.
- Proactively identify issues, performance bottlenecks, and data quality concerns.
- Develop alerts, dashboards, and operational procedures that enable rapid issue detection
and resolution.
Application Support & Incident Management
- Investigate and resolve production incidents across the data platform.
- Support a growing user base by responding to operational and business requests.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and implement long-term
solutions.
- Help maintain the reliability and availability of critical data services.
Your profile
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related
field. Proven experience supporting production systems and monitoring data pipelines or
applications, as well as building and maintaining analytical data models.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with SQL, Python, dbt, Docker, Kubernetes,
OpenSearch or similar logging tools, Prometheus and Grafana (or equivalent observability
tools), and cloud-native data platforms and modern data architectures
- Business & Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex business needs into data models
and products, with a strong focus on business value; knowledge of dimensional modeling
and analytics engineering is a plus.
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering,
or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent English communication skills; proactive, collaborative, and self-driven
with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
