We are looking for a junior / Mid-lvl (0-5 years of professional experience) engineer with hands-on experience working with real robots either in a AI and robotic software engineering field. You will work with a team of engineers with interdisciplinary technical skills to solve a ‘full-stack’ robotics problem combining our own hardware, control interfaces, and AI. While working collaboratively you will be in charge of a particular discipline based on your background. At times you will also assist the ‘deployment’ of the robots outside of our own lab environment to customer sites.
We value engineers that are able to have a ‘customer feature request’ centric mindset and approach: not optimising or perfecting the craft of a sub-system but define and pursue what is deemed necessary for the success of that project. You are encouraged to ask questions proactively and have an eagerness to learn and broaden skills in and out of their expertise.
You will be part of a fast-growing cutting-edge AI and robotics team looking towards developing solutions to real world problems.
What you'll do (a subset of the below)
Program our robots by combining low/high level controllers, AI policies, feedback control, etc towards a practical task
Prototype / iterate on AI based controllers (ACT, Pi0.5, etc)
Work on ‘traditional’ robotic software engineering (hardware drivers, cameras, computer vision, state machines)
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and be able to adjust priorities
Bring robots out to customer sites when needed.
What you bring
Experience working with AI policies for robotic manipulation
Experience working on real robotic systems.
Have worked on edge computing on robotic systems
Have worked with ROS2, docker, collaborative git repositories
Experienced to deliver a robot until a deadline (competitions, hackathons etc)
Submit a CV and a short description of your strengths (a few sentences max), and a portfolio / website / videos that showcase your past work if you have one.
Nice to have (a subset of the below)
