We are looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and ship internal AI tools alongside the people who use them. You will sit close to the business, working directly with teams across our regions to turn real workflows into working software on top of our internal AI platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role. You will scope the problem with stakeholders, build the solution, deploy it, and own it in production. Strong software engineering is the core of the job; the AI platform is the toolkit you will build with.
The role is based in Lausanne, where the work will start. Travel to our offices around the world should be foreseen as the platform is rolled out across regions, and is a lasting part of the role rather than an occasional exception.
What you'll do
- Work directly with teams across the business to understand their workflows, spot where the platform can help, and scope solutions end to end
- Map how a process actually runs today, then redesign it together with the people who own it, so that parts of it can be automated and the rest made materially better
- Own delivery from the first conversation through to production: design, build, deploy, iterate on real feedback
- Build applications, agents, and agentic workflows on top of our platform and on-prem LLMs served via vLLM
- Support deployment and adaptation of the platform across multiple regions, accounting for infrastructure and compliance differences
- Set up and maintain deployment pipelines and CI/CD for AI applications
- Monitor application health, model performance, and usage as the platform scales
- Run demos, walkthroughs, and training sessions, and write the documentation that gets people using what you build
- Feed what you learn in the field back into the core platform so the next deployment is easier
What you'll bring
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience - post graduation - as a software engineer, in a role where you worked directly with stakeholders or end users – not necessarily in the financial sector. Please note that this is a hard requirement: candidates with no sufficient industry experience won't be considered.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and strong Python. You write code that other people can pick up, run, and maintain
- A good posture with stakeholders: you can run a discovery conversation, ask the questions that matter, push back on a request that won't work, and translate a vague business problem into a scoped piece of work
- Autonomy in scoping and owning projects. You set your own priorities, drive progress toward broader team goals, and see work through to adoption rather than handing it off
- A structured way of thinking about processes: you can take a workflow apart, see which steps carry the value and which are there by habit, and propose a better design rather than automating the existing one as it stands
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Familiarity with application/system monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana or similar)
- Comfortable building against LLM APIs and consuming models served via vLLM (no deployment/ops experience required)
Nice to have
- Experience with AI agent frameworks such as Hermes Agent, OpenClaw, or similar
- Familiarity with visual workflow orchestration platforms (e.g. n8n, Langflow)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and developing small front-end applications
