Software Test Engineer Cloud Platform
As a Software Test Engineer for our Data Analytics Cloud Platform, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of Inpeco’s scalable data processing and analytics solutions. Collaborating closely with developers, project managers, quality stakeholders, and DevOps experts, you will define risk-based test strategies, shape the test automation strategy, and ensure effective execution of manual and automated test activities. You will identify critical product and process risks, manage complex technical scenarios, and provide structured evidence to support risk-conscious decisions and product confidence at scale.
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to delivering best-in-class products by driving quality, risk awareness, and timely decision-making in collaboration with different team members and project managers.

Cooperate with the project team to define clear Acceptance Criteria, translating user requirements into product scenarios while identifying related risks, dependencies, and constraints.

Lead the definition of risk-based test plans and execution priorities in accordance with product regulatory, quality, and business requirements.

Define and prioritize integration, system, regression, non-functional test activities based on product risk, system complexity, test coverage, and business impact.

Lead the definition of the test automation strategy and its evolution to best support the product development lifecycle with CI/CD pipelines.

Coordinate and execute manual and automated test activities, analyze test results, maintain traceability of evidence, and provide clear reporting to support risk-based decisions and issue resolution.

Track defects discovered during the execution phase, assess their severity and impact, and cooperate with the team to identify pragmatic mitigation and resolution strategies.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineer, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications are preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within Automation, Healthcare, Medical Devices industry
- Full proficiency in Italian and English (mandatory), any other language is a plus.

Proven track record in test analysis, test design and product risk management, preferably within Agile practices.

Proven track records in automation testing technology and implementation

Previous experience with non-functional testing activities, such as performance, load, reliability, observability, or resilience testing.

Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, data platforms, and related technical risks; hands-on knowledge of Python, Win/Linux, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous problems.

Strong team player skills, promoting collaboration with relevant partners, good communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable, able to manage and prioritize the daily activities based on deadlines.

- Previous experience in testing activities within DevOps practices, especially where quality gates, release risks, or operational readiness are involved.

Hands-on experience with cloud providers (such as Azure) and cloud-native technologies.

Hands-on experience with Data Analytics and Big Data Technologies (such as Apache Kafka, Apache Hadoop, Apache NiFi).Knowledge of Jira and Jira-XRay.

Practical knowledge of Robot Framework or other automation tools.

Knowledge of Jenkins and Continuous Testing.
