As an AI Security Engineer, you will be responsible for securing AI-powered applications, machine-learning systems and emerging generative AI technologies against cyber threats.
You will work at the intersection of Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, helping organisations identify and mitigate security risks throughout the entire AI lifecycle.
You will collaborate closely with Security, Engineering, Data Science, Cloud and IT teams to build secure and resilient AI environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security controls for AI and Machine Learning systems
- Assess security risks associated with Generative AI, LLMs and AI-powered applications
- Perform security assessments and threat modelling of AI systems
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, data poisoning, model manipulation, model extraction and adversarial attacks
- Develop security architectures for AI/ML platforms and applications
- Implement security controls across the AI development lifecycle
- Support the integration of AI security into DevSecOps processes
- Conduct AI security assessments, penetration testing and red-team activities
- Monitor AI systems for anomalous or malicious behaviour
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards and technical controls for AI environments
- Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists and security teams to improve the security posture of AI solutions
- Stay up to date with emerging AI security threats, attack techniques, vulnerabilities and industry standards
- Contribute to the development of security frameworks and best practices for responsible and secure AI adoption
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence or a comparable technical field
- ???????Several years of professional experience in Cyber Security, Application Security, Cloud Security, ML Security or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modelling and secure software development
- Practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI or AI-powered applications
- Understanding of AI-specific attack vectors and vulnerabilities
- Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD security
- Strong programming or scripting skills, preferably Python
- Experience with security testing, penetration testing or red teaming is an advantage
- Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST AI RMF or ISO 27001 is a plus
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English; German is an advantage
