We are currently looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Engineer - Java / Spring Boot to join our Global Operations & Services (GOS) team in an agile, DevOps-centred environment.
Work together in a cross functional team using agile methodologies as part of a DevOps centric model
Design, implement, deploy, release and monitor your team's applications, take part on pull request reviews
Understand business needs by working together with your colleagues from across different divisions of Julius Baer
Take part of planning and feature refinement sessions together with your team
Together with Architects design software solutions that are aligned to Julius Baer's overall architecture vision
Deliver high quality code, aligned with Julius Baer guidelines and standards
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields, or relevant work experience
Knowledge and practical experience with DevOps principles , including CI/CD and Kubernetes
Proven high experience in backend software engineering , particularly with Java and Java Frameworks like Spring Boot
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka and Avro
Familiarity with automated testing
Pragmatic, proactive, and open-minded, possessing an entrepreneurial approach
Enthusiastic about continuous learning and contributing to Julius Baer's technological evolution
Effective communicator with very good English proficiency
