Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Centre Hands & Feet Technician (L2) to provide onsite physical support within data centre environments, working closely with remote engineering and NOC teams.
This role is hardware and infrastructure-focused, with primary responsibility for installation, cabling, and physical troubleshooting of network and server equipment, rather than advanced network configuration.
The ideal candidate will have strong data centre experience, with hands-on expertise in rack & stack, structured cabling (fiber and copper), and equipment handling, and be comfortable supporting remote engineers during live activities.
- Install and decommission network and server equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, servers)
- Execute rack & stack activities based on rack elevation diagrams (REDs)
- Ensure proper mounting, cable management, and rack organisation
- Handle equipment safely following data centre standards and procedures
- Perform installation, patching, and tracing of fiber (SMF/MMF) and Ethernet cabling
- Handle and manage:
- LC, SC, MPO connectors
- Patch panels and cross-connects
- Ensure proper labelling and documentation of all connections
- Conduct basic cable testing and fault identification (e.g., link checks, continuity)
