We are looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer Intern to support our internal AI initiatives by working closely with business teams and our engineering department. You will gain hands-on experience in developing AI-powered tools on our on-premise AI platform, guided by our experienced data science and engineering teams.
This is a learning-focused role where you will contribute to real projects, work with stakeholders across our Lausanne office, and participate in the full software development lifecycle. The internship will give you direct exposure to how AI is applied in a global inter-dealer brokerage environment.
What you'll do
· Support discovery sessions with business teams to understand their workflows and identify where AI can add value
· Assist in mapping and redesigning processes in collaboration with stakeholders and senior engineers
· Learn and contribute to the development of applications and AI workflows on our platform and on-prem LLMs
· Help set up deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes for AI applications under mentorship
· Support monitoring of application health, model performance, and usage metrics
· Participate in demos, walkthroughs, and documentation efforts to promote tool adoption
· Feed back observations from your projects to help improve the core platform
What you'll bring
· Currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or recently graduated (within the last 6 months)
· Basic software engineering skills and familiarity with Python or willingness to learn quickly
· Interest in AI/ML and eagerness to understand how large language models are applied in practice
· Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders and ask clarifying questions
· Structured thinking: ability to break down processes and see where automation can help
· Comfortable working in a team environment and seeking guidance when needed
· Available for a 6-month internship period with a flexible start date
Nice to have
· Previous experience with LLM APIs or AI frameworks (even academic/personal projects)
· Basic familiarity with CI/CD concepts or version control (Git)
· Knowledge of JavaScript or front-end development
· Experience with data science tools or machine learning libraries
· Interest in financial services or brokerage operations
