The opportunity
As a Product Engineer Electrical, you will support the management and development of the surge arrester product portfolio throughout its lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants to gain exposure to product management, product lifecycle management (PLM), and trade compliance within a global industrial environment. Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, you will help ensure products meet customer expectations, market requirements, and regulatory standards while contributing to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
How you'll make an impact
Support the management and continuous improvement of the surge arrester product portfolio
Assist in translating customer, market, and regulatory requirements into product specifications
Contribute to product development, innovation projects, and roadmap activities
Conduct market and competitor research to help identify opportunities and trends
Maintain technical product documentation, product data, and marketing materials
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches, changes, and customer requests
Support sustainability, compliance, and product obsolescence management activities
Lead trade compliance activities, including product classifications, customs data maintenance, and export control requirements
Your background
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
Initial professional experience through internships, apprenticeships, graduate programs, or up to 3 years of relevant work experience
Interest in product management, product development, and lifecycle management
Passion for high-voltage applications and products, as well as their engineering principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
Strong communication skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset
Fluent in English; basic German skills would be an asset. Additional language skills are an advantage
