The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Manufacturing Quality Laboratory Services Specialist and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our products. In this position, you will perform laboratory testing and analysis, support quality investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.
How you’ll make an impact
Perform laboratory testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
Analyze and interpret test data, document findings, and prepare reports highlighting trends, deviations, and non-conformances.
Support investigations of quality issues by identifying root causes and contributing to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Assist in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of laboratory test methods, procedures, and quality control processes.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and laboratory quality management systems.
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to drive quality improvements and support manufacturing excellence.
Train and support laboratory team members while contributing to a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Your background
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control laboratory, ideally within an industrial or highly regulated environment.
Hands-on experience with analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation such as spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, or mechanical testing.
Strong understanding of quality control principles, statistical process control (SPC), and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
Fluency in Italian and good command of English, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
