About the Role
Join Swiss Re's Legal Entity Finance team in Zurich and play a meaningful role in shaping the quality and efficiency of statutory and regulatory reporting for Swiss reinsurance entities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career finance professional to build deep expertise in legal entity reporting while contributing to exciting Finance transformation initiatives. You'll collaborate with experienced Finance colleagues and senior stakeholders, gaining broad exposure across accounting, reporting, and data-driven process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting for Swiss reinsurance entities, ensuring submissions are timely, accurate, and fully compliant
- Analyse financial results and business drivers, contributing to the preparation of management and regulatory commentaries
- Prepare analysis, presentations, and reporting materials for senior stakeholders and governance bodies, communicating insights clearly and effectively
- Enhance reporting processes, controls, and data quality by contributing to governance documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardisation within existing reporting processes, and support the implementation of scalable, efficient solutions
- Support projects with Swiss statutory reporting impact, including analysis, implementation support, and thorough documentation
- Contribute to forecasting and planning processes, including data preparation, validation, and quality assurance
About the Team
The Legal Entity Finance team is part of Treasury and is responsible for the accounting and reporting of statutory and regulatory financial information for Swiss Re's Swiss reinsurance entities, including the Group's largest operating and sub holding company.
The team brings together deep reporting expertise, financial analysis capabilities, and accounting advisory knowledge to deliver high-quality external reporting while actively supporting internal decision-making. Beyond day-to-day reporting, the team contributes to the transformation of Global Finance: driving automation, standardisation, and the development of data-driven capabilities that position Swiss Re's finance function for the future. You'll be joining a collaborative, knowledgeable group that values precision, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
About You
You are a proactive, analytical, and structured finance professional who enjoys working in an international and fast-paced environment. You bring strong attention to detail, a genuine curiosity for financial data and reporting processes, and a drive to continuously improve the way things are done. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and take ownership of your work with reliability and care.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- First experience in finance, accounting, reporting, or data analysis (e.g. through internships or working student roles)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with demonstrated ability to work with financial data and derive meaningful insights
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and their practical application
- Proficiency in Excel and a genuine interest in working with financial systems and data tools
These are additional nice to haves:
- Interest in or exposure to insurance or reinsurance finance environments
- Basic familiarity with statutory or regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g. Swiss statutory, SST)
- Exposure to data analytics, visualisation, or automation tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar
- Experience supporting process improvements or finance transformation initiatives
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with reliability and precision
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working across diverse, international teams
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between CHF 77,000 and 115,000 for a full-time role.

- The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience
In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
