Lucerne, Switzerland | Permanent Position | Start Date by Agreement
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sole Chef (m/f/d) to join our upscale Italian restaurant with an adjoining hotel operation, located on the outskirts of Lucerne by the beautiful Lake Lucerne.
Our restaurant offers 60 seats, a large garden terrace, and a banquet hall. We are known for our creative Mediterranean cuisine, warm hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere. Our guests include both local residents and international tourists enjoying their holidays in Lucerne.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently manage and operate the kitchen during assigned shifts
- Prepare and present Mediterranean and Italian dishes to a high standard
- Ensure the smooth day to day operation of the kitchen
- Take responsibility for mise en place and daily food production
- Ensure compliance with HACCP hygiene and quality standards
- Manage ordering, receiving, and proper storage of goods and ingredients
- Monitor and optimize food costs and stock levels
- Contribute to the development of new dishes and seasonal menus
- Support the preparation and execution of banquets and special events
Your Profile
- Completed culinary training or an equivalent professional qualification
- Several years of experience as a Sole Chef, Chef de Partie, or in a similar role
- Experience in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine is highly desirable
- Independent, organized, and reliable working style
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and passion for hospitality
- Good German language skills; additional languages are an advantage
