About the Role
World Courier, a Cencora company, is a global leader in specialty logistics — trusted by the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotech organisations to move what matters most. From investigational drugs to clinical trial materials, we handle every shipment with precision, care, and an unwavering commitment to the patients who depend on us.
We are looking for two Export Operations Representatives to join our depot team in Bachenbülach, Zürich — both on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a hands-on operational role at the heart of our Zürich depot, where you'll be responsible for coordinating and executing the export of time-critical shipments across the globe. You'll work closely with airlines, internal operations teams, and customer services — ensuring every shipment departs on time, every time. Full training will be provided, including on our in-house systems, so whilst the environment is fast-paced and regulated, you won't be thrown in at the deep end.
If you have a background in logistics, freight forwarding, or regulated supply chain and you're looking to take your next step in a purpose-driven, international organisation — we'd love to hear from you.
Location: Bachenbülach, Zürich, Switzerland
Salary: Competitive — inclusive of 13th month salary
Working Pattern: Full-Time | Permanent | Site-Based
Working Hours:
42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday
8.5 hours per day (excluding a 30-minute unpaid break) on a rotational shift pattern between 07:15 – 18:30
Occasional weekend work may be required and will be compensated with additional pay
Key Responsibilities
Review daily shipment booking reports and plan upcoming collections and export bookings accordingly
Select the most cost-effective and efficient airline for each shipment, drawing on your knowledge of carriers, routes, and geography
Make airline bookings via online platforms and direct communication, and accurately enter all relevant data into internal systems
Prepare and label shipments on collection day, ensuring all documentation, pouches, and labels are printed and correctly applied in line with World Courier SOPs
Monitor shipments to confirm departure and proactively follow up on any exceptions or delays
Manage export clearance processes and upload final shipping documents into the file management system
Coordinate the return of empty packaging from inbound shipments, following the same rigorous process as outbound exports
Liaise with World Courier offices globally to ensure seamless end-to-end coordination
Support the Operations Supervisor and wider depot team with day-to-day operational tasks as required
.
