Job Description
Are you a scientist, passionate about new technologies, looking for an exciting challenge where you can have an impact on the future growth of your company? We are looking for an ‘Application Development Scientist’ to work in the Application Development team researching and testing new solutions for spatial multi-omics assays on tissue samples using Bio-Techne Spatial instruments.
Your Missions
Test, optimize, and validate new markers for immunofluorescent multiplex stainings on tissue samples
Investigate novel & innovative solutions for spatial-omics assays on Bio-Techne Spatial microfluidic platforms
Develop a fine understanding of in situ protein and RNA detection methodologies
Acquire images, process them, analyze data, and report results concisely
Explore and understand the biological background of the target markers under development
Contribute to the continuous development of devices and software
Interact with multidisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers and researchers
This position reports to the Application Development Manager
Qualifications
Your ideal profile
A PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar field
Or an equivalent background (e.g. Master degree with at least 3 years of industry experience)
Hands-on experience in spatial proteomics or transcriptomic assays for analysis of histological samples (IHC, IF, in situ hybridization, in situ sequencing, or similar techniques etc.) is a must
Experience in handling microfluidics devices and fluorescent microscopes is a strong plus
Good knowledge in image processing and data analysis is a strong plus
You demonstrate critical thinking, good organizational skills, and attention to details
Dynamic, enthusiast, and organized individual, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
A real team player, you are also comfortable working independently
Fluency in oral and written English is a must
