About the Opportunity
Our client, a global player in the IT consulting and technology services sector, is seeking a senior Business Development Manager to strengthen its presence in the Swiss Banking & Financial Services market.
This role is designed for individuals with a consulting background who excel in building trusted client relationships, shaping complex deals, and driving growth through innovative, technology-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Market Development

Build and maintain strategic relationships with mid-tier banks, cantonal banks, and financial institutions

Engage senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor, understanding business priorities and translating them into actionable solutions

Develop and execute account entry and growth strategies across the Swiss market
Business Development & Revenue Growth

Own the full business development lifecycle, including:

Targeting and prospecting

Opportunity qualification and shaping

Leading proposals and client presentations
-
Negotiating and closing commercial agreements

Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent revenue growth and forecast accuracy

Identify and drive new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships
Solution Positioning & Delivery Alignment

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and position tailored technology and transformation solutions

Ensure strong alignment between client expectations and delivery capabilities

Support the development of innovative, value-driven propositions for the banking sector
Market Insights & Strategy

Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and digital transformation in Swiss banking

Provide insights on market opportunities and competitive positioning

Contribute to go-to-market strategies aligned with evolving client needs
Candidate Profile

15+ years of experience in business development, consulting, or client-facing roles within banking, financial services, or IT consulting
-
Proven track record of originating, shaping, and closing complex deals

Strong understanding of the Swiss banking landscape, including regulatory and operational considerations

Experience in top-tier consulting or technology services environments (e.g., Big 4, Capgemini, or similar)
