Dawsons Engineering is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Tradespersons and Mechanical Trade Assistants for an upcoming construction project. Working in partnership with Altrad, this project is located at Arrow Energy’s Girrahween Compressor Station near Miles, QLD.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, high-hours work with immediate mobilization options.
- Roster: 14 days on, 7 days off (11-hour shifts).
- Mobilization: Immediate and ongoing start dates available.
- Accommodation: Full camp accommodation and meals provided.
- Competitive Weekly Pay: Processed Wednesday to Tuesday (funds cleared Thursday evening for major banks, Friday morning for smaller banks).
You will be integral to the mechanical installation of critical site infrastructure, including:
- Compressor packages, pumps, and motors.
- Gas metering skids and flare systems.
- Filter packages and piping systems.
- Associated mechanical equipment.
- A relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification OR strong, proven mechanical and operator experience.
- A champion mindset toward safety and a strong work ethic.
- A willingness to learn—if you haven't worked in Oil & Gas before, we are happy to train the right people in these specialized systems.
- Flange Management Training.
- Pump/Motor Alignment experience.
- Prior experience with compressors.
- Previous Oil & Gas industry experience.
