About the Opportunity
Our client, a large and complex organization undergoing a significant digital transformation, is strengthening its Quality Engineering and Testing capability.
We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer / Tosca Subject Matter Expert who will play a strategic role in establishing, governing, and scaling automated testing practices across multiple business-critical applications and services.
This is not a traditional automation role. The successful candidate will act as the internal Tosca reference, defining standards, coaching teams, and building sustainable automation frameworks that can be adopted across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain enterprise-wide Tosca standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Design scalable and reusable automation architectures.
Establish naming conventions, governance rules, templates, and quality standards.
Drive the industrialization and continuous improvement of automated testing practices.
Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites using Tricentis Tosca.
Create reusable modules, components, and test assets.
Maintain and improve existing Tosca repositories and automation frameworks.
Ensure test coverage, maintainability, reliability, and execution efficiency.
Serve as the primary Tosca expert supporting project and testing teams.
Mentor Test Managers and Automation Engineers on Tosca capabilities and best practices.
Provide Level 2/Level 3 expertise for complex automation challenges.
Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and knowledge sharing.
Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI-assisted testing approaches.
Identify automation optimization opportunities and improve testing efficiency.
Contribute to the evolution of quality engineering practices within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Must-Have Technical Skills
Candidates who do not meet the majority of these requirements are unlikely to be considered.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca in enterprise environments.
Proven experience designing, maintaining, and industrializing automated test suites.
Strong expertise in:
Modules
TestCases
Reusable Components
TestCase Design
Experience managing Tosca repositories and optimizing automation assets.
Experience working with Multi-User Workspaces and repository governance.
Knowledge of Tosca Commander installation, configuration, and license management.
Highly Desirable Experience
The ideal candidate will demonstrate several of the following:
Designing and governing Tosca implementations at scale.
Building reusable enterprise automation frameworks.
Defining standards, governance models, and quality controls.
Automation of web applications.
Automation of desktop/client-server applications.
Large-scale regression testing initiatives.
Supporting teams during Tosca adoption.
Training and mentoring automation engineers and test professionals.
Driving automation maturity across multiple projects.
Understanding of practical applications of Generative AI in testing, including:
Test case generation
Test maintenance support
Test result analysis
Awareness of both benefits and limitations of AI-driven testing approaches.
Nice-to-Have Skills
The following experience would be considered a strong advantage:
Tosca Server administration.
Elastic Execution Agent and distributed execution environments.
CI/CD integration (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalent).
API testing using Tosca API Scan.
Integration with ALM platforms such as Jira, Xray, or similar tools.
Experience with complementary automation technologies such as:
Playwright
Robot Framework
Selenium
Cucumber
Gherkin / BDD
Docker-based automation execution environments.
Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
