As Systems and Core Assets Product Line Architect, you are responsible for defining and evolving system architecture for building automation systems. You will sharpen the technical vision, defining the strategy for developing common reusable core assets, and evaluating emerging technologies to realize Human-Centric Autonomous Buildings. This role requires operational leadership to deliver high quality and reusable core assets. You will be working with different stakeholders like architects, product managers, project managers and developers. We will be happy to introduce you to our exciting environment!
Location: this role will be based in Zug/Switzerland. Please note that qualified candidates need to be legally eligible for work authorization in Switzerland.
Your new responsibilities
- Define the architectural runway, technology roadmap, cybersecurity, and ensure total cost of ownership and end-to-end architectural consistency across different products and different R&D sites
- Responsible for identifying, shaping, maintaining and driving the strategy and implementation of Core Assets to be reused by multiple product and system offerings
- Participating in cybersecurity and standardization effort to identify opportunities in the organization where core assets representing such technology should be created, maintained and reused
- Lead diverse and global teams, working with internal and external stakeholders and partners, to create holistic solutions for building automation
- Evaluate organizational and market requirements, recommend cutting-edge technologies, and design products to optimize system performance, simplify workflows and enable business outcomes
- Translate non-functional requirements like scalability, interoperability, and reliability into iterative, risk-based development processes, ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of Autonomous Buildings
- Guide business strategies in HVAC and building automation towards a modular architecture that delivers interoperability across products for seamless operation
Your talents and experience
- Bachelor’s, or master’s degree in engineering or technology, preferably electrical & electronic engineering, information technology, computer science or similar education
- At least five years of experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, and hands-on experience in software development
- Very good knowledge of Web of Things (WoT) and semantic data schemas and ontologies, e.g. Brick, Haystack
- Full-stack knowhow of system architecture and technologies from field devices to PC-based tooling, edge and cloud systems and cybersecurity

Extensive experience in commonality and variability management in complex systems and software product line engineering, such as domain engineering, feature modeling and software factory methods
- Experience in establishing systems architecture in products and systems development based on agile and SAFe development processes and methods
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, cross-culture collaboration and leadership
- Preferably you bring domain knowledge in Building Automation, HVAC, Lighting, Shading
- Proficient communication and presentation abilities in English. German and any additional language is a plus
