Executive Director, International Marketing Lead, Immunology – IBD
This position can be based in either Lucerne, Switzerland, or Rahway, New Jersey.

The Global Immunology organization leads the global cross-functional strategy & execution of our first-in-class immunology product which addresses an area with significant unmet need.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Global Commercial Lead (GCL) for Immunology, the Executive Director, International Marketing Lead, Immunology – IBD is a business critical role that will be instrumental in helping to drive success of a key growth driver and establishing a long-lasting impact on the Company and the patients we serve.
The Executive Director, International Marketing Lead, Immunology – IBD will lead translation of global strategy into commercial strategy and execution in international markets, driving flawless launch preparation and commercial excellence while scaling best practices, identifying gaps and driving growth across the international markets. This role will also provide commercial input into the Global in-line and pipeline strategy to help support growth and the company’s leadership in the Immunology.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Market Engagement

Work closely with GCT markets, local CFTs, and regional teams to reflect key Market insights while ensuring alignment to the global commercial strategy and supporting continuous improvement in execution & resource allocation

Lead routine monthly NPL/BUD forum and have regulator interfaces with NPL/BUDs and GCT Franchise Leads with RCLs

Represent the needs of the markets within key cross-functional global teams (e.g. GFLS, V&I) and drive action at the global level to enable regional and local success

Prepare markets for potential future Company launches within portfolio and anticipated competitive entrants
Commercial Execution

Lead a flawless launch preparation, successful launch and strong on-going performance through L3 Commercial Way of Working, driving standardization and customization of plans across markets and regions leveraging Global L3Next

Supports refinement of forecasting assumptions to achieve appropriate ambition and provides feedback on global guidance and market assumptions to the GCL. Leads forecasting alignment process with global and markets.

Provides feedback on market and region performance to the GCL and International Leadership team, including recommendations for accelerating performance as needed

Develops and tracks key priorities, initiatives, and workstreams to ensure commercial activities are on-track to achieve goals

Ensures connectivity and awareness across global CFT and franchise team about market performance, market opportunities, and suggests actions to drive greater patient and business impact

Serves as a key member of the Asset Commercialization Team (ACT) & Global Commercial Team (GCT) to help shape and advance key strategic areas of co-creation between global and the GCT markets

Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Regional Commercial Leads (RCLs), Clinical Development, Medical, Policy, Outcomes Research, Access, Advocacy, etc.) to achieve shared IBD objectives

Collaborate with Global Marketing Colleagues to invest in each other’s development, build a culture of inclusivity and challenge the status quo for the purpose of creating stronger outcomes
Leadership Excellence

Forge deep relationships across the enterprise and especially across GCT markets and regions and becomes an integral, well-respected partner across the broad pharma commercial organization, including global, regional, and local markets

Serve as partner, coach, and mentor to franchises colleagues including in the GCT Markets and regions (e.g., Franchise lead, RCLs, etc.)

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree required
-
Advanced Degree (MBA) preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
-
Minimum of 12 years local, regional, and/or global commercial functions including marketing, product management, sales, market access (or equivalent roles) with P&L responsibility

Demonstrated leadership and management skills across stakeholders, including those without direct reporting relationship

Strategic, innovative thinker with a learning orientation, desire for personal excellence, and ability to analyze complex data to create leading patient and customer-centric strategies

Business acumen and willingness to act even when uncertain of the outcome

Exceptional communicator with clear and concise verbal, written and presentation skills

Prior regional roles with demonstrated ability to drive business impact across therapeutic areas and/or markets
Location and Travel:

Approximately 30% of travel time internationally
