Product Engineer Semiconductor Lasers (m/f) - 100%
In this position, you will assume the function of technical product prime for an entire family of our semiconductor laser portfolio. You will be part of the operations team and work at the interface with various stakeholders and customers. You take ownership of performance, quality and reliability, yield, and product cost of your product group. You assume an active part in new product introduction, production planning, process and tool qualifications, as well as customer support.
What you will be doing...

You are the technical authority for product performance, quality assurance, and manufacturing of the semiconductor laser products within your portfolio.

You own end-to-end product documentation, specifications, and are responsible for product release in compliance with these.

You ensure that fabrication processes are compatible with product requirements.

You continually improve manufacturing flow, test procedures, and process controls.

You design, plan, and execute qualification tests for the introduction of new fabrication and test processes as well as cost reduction programs, thereby ensuring compliance with product requirements.

You partner with various groups within the company’s organisation for the introduction of new products into volume manufacturing.

You are the lead technical interface to internal and external customers.
About You
-
You hold a master’s degree in physics, electrical, electronics, or opto-electronics engineering.

You have three years of experience as product engineer, yield engineer, or testing engineer of lasers.

You have solid knowledge of semiconductor lasers including device physics, manufacturing, and applications.

You are familiar with statistical methods and related tools, including the ability to query and analyse large sets of data.

You are fact-based and data-driven when analysing, concluding, and taking decisions to solve problems.

You are customer oriented and at ease in effectively interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.

Your excellent English and German language skills (oral and written) allow you to efficiently communicate at any level of the organisation.
