Forbo is a leading producer of floor coverings, building and construction adhesives, as well as power transmission and conveyor belt solutions. The company employs about 5,050 people and has an international network of 25 sites with production and distribution, 6 assembly centers, and 47 sales organizations in a total of 39 countries around the world. Annual net sales are around CHF 1,085 million.

For our headquarters in Baar, we are looking for a flexible person at Group level as soon as possible:

Corporate IT Engineer Cloud & On-Prem Computing (100%)

Reporting to the Head Corporate IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of all corporate and global computing resources across both cloud and on-premises environments. You will support the corporate team in defining and implementing computing standards, documenting those standards, and ensuring their effective adoption through clear communication, ongoing support, and continuous monitoring.

Main tasks include:

Operating core infrastructure – manage and maintain servers, virtual machines, operating systems, and core systems such as domain controllers, DHCP, DNS, PKI & CA, and other critical computing facilities
Backup and data protection – ensure reliable backup, restore, and data protection processes
Lifecycle and automation management – oversee updates, upgrades, replacements, automation initiatives, and other activities required to maintain a secure and efficient computing landscape
Performance and cost monitoring – monitor system performance, manage incidents and optimize resource usage to maintain an effective, cost-conscious computing environment
Planning and budgeting – plan and budget for equipment and software purchases to ensure alignment with computing goals
Vendor and partner management – cooperate and manage external consultants and service providers

Training and knowledge transfer – provide training and facilitate knowledge transfer within the organization
SLA and KPI implementation – support the implementation of SLA, KPI, and other metrics required to maintain an effective and reliable computing environment

Success in this role requires an in-depth knowledge of:

Microsoft technologies (Azure, Windows ADFS, Windows Servers, SCOM, SCCM, Office 365)
on-premises computing (domain controllers, DHCP, DNS, operating systems, database management)
virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V
Linux operating systems
Cisco Meraki, Fortinet Firewall and SD-WAN technology
ITIL concepts, processes incident, problem, and change

The requirements for this position include a degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, along with several years of relevant professional experience in a production 24/7, high-availability, multi-site enterprise ERP environment.
You work effectively within a small, collaborative team, take a hands-on approach, and bring strong problem-solving and project management skills. Your good communication skills in English, service- oriented mindset, and structured, solution-oriented working style complete your profile.
