Job overview

We are looking for an outstanding, creative and energetic Primary teacher to join our British International School. This is an exciting time of growth for the school and you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals committed to an innovative approach, academic rigor and Global Mindedness.

ISCS is a British School that provides the Cambridge International curriculum to the whole community of Swiss and international students. Our school delivers quality education all the way from Early Years to Year 13. We are building a strong community of students, parents and an ISCS Team that is highly motivated, supportive of the aims of the school and work together to maximise opportunities for all.

This is an exciting time in the development of our school as we are growing in numbers year on year, thanks to the work of the team and our growing presence in the community. As a result, we are now seeking more excellent Professionals to enrich the Primary Team. Our class sizes are currently around 15 students.

We are seeking an experienced Primary teacher to join the School from August 2026. Candidates must be enthusiastic about teaching Primary years in an inclusive school setting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality teaching and learning in an international setting, creative in their thinking and a student of learning. The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent classroom practitioner.

The successful applicant for the teaching post will require the following:

Good Bachelors Degree
Certificated teaching qualification: PGCE or equivalent
Relevant teaching experience in a UK or International setting following the Cambridge International Curriculum or the National Curriculum of England and Wales
Experience of teaching Primary
Fluent English language
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the pedagogy of Teaching & Learning
Innovative and inspirational practitioner
High expectations of students and the team
Experience of using technology to promote learning
Professional approach in line with the Teachers’ Standards
Adaptability of approach
Experience of writing Schemes of Learning and reacting to curriculum change
Excellent interpersonal skills
B or C permit to work and live in Switzerland are desirable.
